AI Social Media Captions: A Practical Multilingual Workflow

Write better AI captions with a reusable brief, English and Spanish examples, a Chinese adaptation and a factual review checklist.

AI can help a small team produce caption options and adapt an idea for several audiences. It cannot decide which promises your business can keep. A reliable workflow supplies verified facts first, generates alternatives second, and reviews every version before scheduling.

Write a brief that constrains the answer

Give the assistant the audience, channel, language, objective, approved facts, tone and next step. Also say what it must not invent. Without those constraints, a fluent caption can contain a discount you never offered or a result you cannot substantiate.

Audience: first-time customers of a fictional neighbourhood café. Channel: Instagram. Language: Spanish for a broad Spanish-speaking audience. Goal: visits to the menu page. Approved facts: a new seasonal menu is available; ingredients are listed on the menu page. Tone: warm and direct. Write three short openings and one caption. Do not invent prices, dietary claims, opening hours, testimonials or discounts. End with one clear invitation to explore the menu.

This is an illustrative brief, not a description of a real business. Replace every fact with your own confirmed information. Include regional vocabulary where it matters; Spanish for Spain and Spanish for Mexico do not always use the same phrasing.

Adapt meaning, not just words

VersionIllustrative captionReview point
EnglishMeet our new seasonal menu. Explore the ingredients and find your next café favourite.Confirm which menu is live
SpanishDescubre nuestro nuevo menú de temporada. Consulta los ingredientes y elige qué te apetece probar.Check natural local wording
Simplified Chinese当季新菜单上线了。看看食材介绍,挑选下一次到店想尝试的味道。Keep the same offer and action

Adapt the actual call to action to the channel. A website link, a profile link and a direct-message request are different actions. Do not refer to a “link in bio” until the right destination is there. Localize dates, currencies and measurement units when relevant, while keeping commercial terms consistent.

Use PostReply to prepare and review

  1. Open AI Studio and use the caption or repurposing workflow available in your plan.
  2. Generate a small number of meaningful alternatives from the approved brief.
  3. Choose one, then inspect facts, links and tone before adapting it for another language.
  4. Save useful recurring copy in Captions and organize supporting assets in Files.
  5. Move the reviewed content into Publishing and check the intended destination and schedule.

AI Studio and AI Publishing serve different jobs. AI Studio helps prepare content; AI Publishing runs automated content workflows on eligible plans. Starter has AI Studio, while Growth and Agency include AI Publishing. Generation is subject to the plan’s credits, enabled tools and provider availability.

Run this final check in every language

  • No invented result, statistic, customer quote or guarantee.
  • No changed price, deadline, product name or offer condition.
  • No private customer information in the prompt or caption.
  • The text matches the image and the linked page.
  • The next action works for the selected channel.
  • A competent reader has checked important local terminology.

Test two different openings across comparable posts rather than generating dozens of near-identical variants. Judge qualified responses and downstream actions alongside engagement. Better wording is useful only when the content remains accurate and relevant.

Use the content calendar to plan those tests and the approval checklist before publishing.
